The La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation will roll out the red carpet at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena on March 9 for its 22nd annual Spring Gala. Themed “When the Stars Come Out,” the event promises a nod to show biz, complete with paparazzi and search lights.

Live music, dinner and cocktails will be featured, as will auction items. Mayor Steve Del Guercio will be presented the Spirit of Outstanding Service Award, and the winner of the $15,000 cash raffle prize will be announced.

Kai Ryssdal, host of Marketplace, American Public Media's national radio program, will serve as emcee for the event.

Organizers report that many tempting auction items have been donated, but they would welcome even more. To make a donation, contact auction@lcfef.org. There are also still some underwriting opportunities available for the event. Contact gala@lcfef.org for more details.

For more information about the gala, call the foundation office at (818) 952-4268 or email gala@lcfef.org.
