Living, breathing humans are the spooks disturbing the peace in the Maitlands' house. When Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) find themselves deceased after a horrible car accident, they try to move back home. Unable to scare away the annoying new homeowners, the Deetzes and their goth daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder), they hire a bio-exorcist named Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) to do the job. Macabre mayhem (Tim Burton style) ensues.
