Man who allegedly threatened to drive off side of mountain in Angeles National Forest arrested

A man who authorities say attempted to kill himself and his estranged girlfriend by driving them off the side of a mountain was taken into custody Sunday after he crashed his vehicle into a guardrail, fled the scene and then barricaded himself in a home near Santa Anita Dam.
