In a story that ran in the Jan. 12 edition, “Man fined for tree trimming,” it was incorrectly reported that La Cañada Flintridge resident Franklin Wang was fined $3,650 for over-pruning six coastal live oak trees. That dollar amount was recommended to the Planning Commission by city staff, but the commissioners reduced Wang’s fine to $2,000.
