A 55-year-old La Cañada Flintridge man was arrested last week after allegedly pulling a gun on a fellow employee at Hill Street Café, authorities said.
Sung Kook Kim was involved in a business dispute with another man on Tuesday, Aug. 13 around 7:38 p.m. at the restaurant on 1004 Foothill Blvd., said Sgt. Robert Galbraith of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Both men reportedly worked at the restaurant and the incident occurred in the kitchen area at the establishment.
During a verbal argument, the other man allegedly punched Kim in the nose, according to a sheriff's report. Kim left the restaurant, then returned and reportedly entered into another argument with the man.
Kim then removed a gun from his waistband and pointed it at the man while screaming, according to a sheriff's report.
Two other employees who were in the kitchen at the time reportedly broke up the fight and hid the gun, which was reportedly unloaded.
Kim was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The other man was detained for assault, but released because Kim did not want to press charges.
