Oh my gosh! The Dec. 27 newspaper has a letter from Trent Sanders in the “Mailbag” that is exactly my thoughts and what I have been saying for many years.

Why does the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Assn. keep producing the same exact (to quote Mr. Sanders) “silly, laughable arcade-like” floats year after year? Where is the beautiful, artistic and innovative floral expression that we could just as easily produce? (Not that any of the work is easy, of course).

Why the same old, same old? Aren't we tired of this routine? Congrats to Mr. Sanders for finally saying something and hoping it makes a difference.
