Farmers Market — Saturday, May 26, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ongoing farmers market takes place every Saturday at 1346 Foothill Blvd.
“Behind the Gate” Open House — Saturday, May 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Assn. invites area residents to drop by the float construction site to learn about what goes into building the city's Rose Parade float. Welding, screening, use of seeds and other dry materials, and information about paint selections will be covered. Talk to crew members and see the color rendering of the 2013 float, “Dino-Soar.” The construction site is located behind Valley Water Co., 4524 Hampton Road.
Family Flick, “Puss in Boots” — Saturday, May 26, 8:30 p.m., Memorial Park. Free. Bring lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Film will start when it becomes dark enough. Snacks will be available for purchase.
Summer Whites Picnic and Open House — Sunday, May 27, noon to 4 p.m. Lanterman House, 4420 Encinas Drive. Bring picnic, lawn chair or blanket if you'd like to picnic on the museum's grounds. Free tours of the house will begin at 1 p.m. Live music. Call (818) 790-1421 for more information.

Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA 1-mile family fun run, Cherry Canyon hike, 10k run, 5k run and 5k walk — Monday, May 28, 7:15 a.m. and 8 a.m. at Descanso Gardens, 1418 Descanso Drive. Entry fees for all events except Family Fun Run are $25 before race day and $35 on race day. Fees for the Family Fun Run are $38 per family before the race and $45 on race day. TACH Bash — Saturday, June 2, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Teens for the Advancement of Children's Hospital are throwing their annual TACH Bash at Memorial Park, 1301 Foothill Blvd. Enjoy music from local bands, food from the Buffalo Wild Wings truck, games, face painting, a bake sale and a ceramics sale. A silent auction featuring a host of items will also take place. Admission is free, but TACH members are collecting items for the Adolescent Medicine's Gang Reduction and Youth Development program. Those attending are encouraged to donate new clothing for teens. All proceeds from the event benefit the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Adolescent Medicine Division. 103rd annual Pasadena Kennel Club Dog Show — Saturday and Sunday, June 2-3, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Brookside Park in Pasadena. About 1,500 dogs are expected to be shown each day. KOKO: In Shadow-2012 — June 1 through Aug. 25. Opening reception is 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, June 1. Stephanie's Art Gallery, 466 Foothill Blvd. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A series of oil paintings and sculptures by Koko Hovaguimian, a Los Angeles-based artist. The inspiration for this series was Mozart's opera, “Don Giovanni.” The artist will be on hand to sign catalogs the first two days of the show. A Touch of the Seasons, Gerane Mooney — Through June 24. Artist Gerane Mooney's 10th annual exhibition at Descanso Gardens' Heritage Art Gallery, located in the Boddy House. Mooney presents seasonal florals and landscapes from her travels here and abroad.
Seen & Scene: The Imagined Landscape — Through Aug. 3, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit at the Sturt Haaga Gallery at Descanso Gardens is curated by John David O'Brien and brings together works of seven contemporary artists: Jacci Den Hartog, Brian Forrest, Mineko Grimmer, Sant Khalsa, Kaoru Mansour, Alison Saar and Andre Yi. Paintings, photographs, sculptures, dimensional and interactive art will be featured.

Vivaldi's “Gloria” — Thursday, June 7, 7:30 p.m. This “Music for Charity” performance will take place at St. George's Episcopal Church, 808 Foothill Blvd. Admission is free; any funds raised by donation will go to Alzheimer's disease research.
